UNDERSTANDING ALL-ON-4
What Are All-on-4 Dental Implants?
All-on-4 dental implants are a full-arch tooth replacement solution designed for patients who have lost most or all of their teeth—or whose remaining teeth can no longer be predictably saved.
Instead of replacing every missing tooth with an individual implant, four strategically positioned dental implants support an entire arch of replacement teeth. The implants provide a strong foundation for a fixed restoration that looks and functions much more like natural teeth than a removable denture.
The technique can often make efficient use of the patient's available bone, with the posterior implants positioned at an angle when appropriate. This can help some patients avoid more extensive bone-grafting procedures, although every case requires individual evaluation and 3D imaging.

Benefits of All-on-4
Fixed Teeth — A stable restoration supported by dental implants. As teeth are fixed, they are not removable by the patient.
Fewer Implants — An entire dental arch can be supported with four strategically positioned implants. Less than full-mouth teeth replacement by implant bridges.
Improved Function — Greater stability for eating, speaking, and smiling compared with traditional removable dentures.
Personalized Planning — Your treatment is planned around your bone, bite, oral health, and long-term restorative needs.

How All-on-4 Dental Implants Can Restore Your Smile
Dr. Alan Martinez explains how All-on-4 dental implants can replace a full arch of failing or missing teeth with a stable, implant-supported restoration—and what patients should know when considering treatment in Tijuana.
IS ALL-ON-4 RIGHT FOR YOU?
Who Is a Good Candidate for All-on-4 Dental Implants?
All-on-4 dental implants are designed primarily for people who have lost most or all of their teeth, are struggling with removable dentures, or have extensive dental problems that make saving their remaining teeth impractical.
You may be a candidate if you:
Have Many Missing or Failing Teeth
Patients with extensive tooth loss, severely damaged teeth, or advanced dental problems may benefit from replacing an entire arch rather than continuing to repair individual teeth.
Are Tired of Removable Dentures
If loose or uncomfortable dentures make it difficult to eat, speak, or smile confidently, implant-supported fixed teeth can provide considerably greater stability.
Have Been Told You Need Extensive Dental Work
When numerous teeth require extractions, crowns, root canals, or other procedures, a full-arch implant solution may sometimes provide a more predictable long-term approach.
Have Experienced Bone Loss
Some patients with bone loss can still qualify for All-on-4 because strategic implant positioning can make better use of available bone. However, this depends entirely on your individual anatomy.
YOUR TREATMENT JOURNEY
The All-on-4 Dental Implant Process — Step by Step
Every All-on-4 case begins with careful diagnosis and treatment planning. Dr. Alan Martinez evaluates your teeth, bone, bite, and overall oral health to develop a treatment plan designed specifically for you.
Step 1 — Consultation & 3D Evaluation
Your treatment begins with a comprehensive evaluation. Dr. Alan reviews your dental and medical history, examines your remaining teeth and gums, and uses 3D imaging to evaluate the quantity and quality of available bone. For patients traveling from the United States or Canada, the process can often begin before you arrive in Tijuana by sending us your recent X-rays, scans, photographs, and dental information.
Step 2 — Personalized Treatment Planning
Using your examination and 3D imaging, Dr. Alan determines the appropriate implant positions, evaluates whether any teeth need to be removed, and plans your new bite and full-arch restoration.
Not every patient requires exactly the same treatment. Bone condition, existing teeth, bite forces, and restorative needs all influence the final plan.
Step 3 — Extractions & Implant Placement
If failing teeth remain in the treatment area, they can often be removed as part of the surgical phase. The four implants are then strategically positioned in the jaw to create a stable foundation for the new arch of teeth.
When appropriate, the posterior implants may be angled to make better use of available bone and potentially reduce the need for more extensive grafting.
Step 4 — Your Temporary Teeth
Depending on implant stability, bone quality, and your individual treatment plan, temporary teeth are provided during the healing phase.
For qualifying patients undergoing an immediate-load protocol, a fixed temporary restoration can be attached to the implants during the initial treatment phase.
Not every patient is a candidate for immediate loading. Dr. Alan this makes determination based on clinical conditions and implant stability.
Step 5 — Healing & Osseointegration
Over the following months, the implants integrate with the surrounding jawbone through a natural process called osseointegration.
During this period, following Dr. Alan's instructions regarding diet, cleaning, and implant care is important to protect the implants while they heal.
Step 6 — Your Final Fixed Smile
After the implants have successfully integrated and the tissues have healed appropriately, your final restoration is created.
The final teeth are designed around your bite, facial proportions, tooth shape, color, and smile. Once attached to the implants, they provide a stable full-arch restoration designed for long-term function and a natural-looking smile.n.

CHOOSING YOUR RESTORATION
Standard All-on-4 vs. Immediate-Load All-on-4
Not every All-on-4 treatment follows the same protocol. At Mexico Dental Implants, Dr. Alan Martinez determines the appropriate approach based on your bone quality, implant stability, bite, and individual clinical needs.
Standard All-on-4
Standard All-on-4With the standard approach, the implants are placed and allowed time to integrate with the jawbone before the final fixed restoration is completed.
Your treatment can include:
Necessary extractions.
Four implants per arch. (8 total implants)
Socket grafting when indicated.
Temporary removable teeth during healing Healing and osseointegration period.
8 Multi-unit abutments
Final zirconia fixed implant-supported restoration
Full-Mouth Treatment — Upper & Lower Arches $23,000 USD
Treatment is completed in stages, with approximately half paid during the surgical phase and the remaining balance during the restorative phase
Immediate-Load All-on-4
For patients who meet the clinical requirements for immediate loading, Dr. Alan can place the implants and attach a fixed screw-retained temporary restoration during the initial treatment phase.
Your treatment can include:
Necessary extractions.
8 Immediate-load implants
16 Multi-unit abutments (different abutments are needed for each set of arches, temporary and permanent)
Fixed screw-retained temporary teeth Healing and osseointegration
Final zirconia restoration
Full-Mouth Treatment — Upper & Lower Arches $30,000 USD
The major difference is that qualifying patients leave the initial treatment phase with fixed temporary teeth rather than a removable temporary denture.
Important Clinical Note:
Immediate loading is not appropriate for every patient. Dr. Alan evaluates bone quality, implant stability, bite forces, medical history, and other clinical factors before determining whether immediate loading is appropriate. The priority is always the long-term stability and success of your implants
LIFE WITH YOUR NEW SMILE
What Can You Expect from All-on-4 Dental Implants?
All-on-4 treatment is about more than replacing missing teeth. The goal is to restore a stable, functional smile that allows you to get back to everyday activities with greater comfort and confidence.Once your implants have healed and your final restoration is in place, you can expect several important advantages over traditional removable dentures.
Eat with Greater Confidence
Implant-supported teeth provide a stable foundation for chewing because the restoration is supported by implants anchored in the jawbone rather than simply resting on the gums.
After healing, many patients are able to enjoy a much broader variety of foods than they could with loose or uncomfortable dentures. Dr. Alan will give you specific instructions about diet during healing and after your final restoration is placed.
Speak Without Worrying About Loose Dentures
Removable dentures can sometimes shift when speaking or laughing. A fixed implant-supported restoration remains securely attached, eliminating the need to worry about your teeth slipping at an embarrassing moment.
Smile Naturally and Confidently
Your final restoration is designed around your facial proportions, bite, tooth shape, and smile. The goal isn't simply to replace teeth—it's to create a smile that looks appropriate for you.
No Denture Adhesives
Because the restoration is supported by dental implants, you don't need denture adhesive to hold your teeth in place.
A Fixed Restoration
Your final All-on-4 restoration is attached to the implants and is not removed by you each night like a conventional denture. It remains in place for normal daily life and is removed professionally when necessary for maintenance or treatment.
Designed for Long-Term Function
With proper home care, professional maintenance, and regular examinations, dental implants can provide long-term support for your restoration. The prosthetic teeth themselves can experience wear over time and may eventually require maintenance, repair, or replacement.

Eat. Speak. Smile. Live with Confidence.
The goal of All-on-4 treatment is simple: to give you stable, functional teeth that feel like a natural part of your everyday life—so you can eat, speak, and smile with greater confidence.
