PERSONALIZED CARE
Every smile has a different story
A missing tooth, a worn smile and several failing teeth can lead to very different treatment conversations. Your starting point matters: the health of your gums and remaining teeth, the condition of your jawbone, your bite and what you hope to change all help shape the plan.
Dr. Alan Martinez and the Mexico Dental Implants team develop individualized treatment plans. Depending on the clinical evaluation, a plan may involve individual dental implants, All-on-4, full-mouth rehabilitation, crowns, veneers or a combination of procedures. Preserving suitable natural teeth and discussing realistic alternatives are part of that conversation.
Use patient results as a starting point for questions, rather than a template for your own smile. Tell us what matters most to you—replacing missing teeth, improving comfort, restoring appearance or understanding the steps before traveling to Tijuana.
ALL-ON-4 BEFORE & AFTER
All-on-4 & full-mouth results
Extensive tooth loss or badly damaged teeth can affect both everyday function and confidence. All-on-4 is an approach to replacing a full arch of teeth with a restoration supported by four implants in suitable cases. Full-mouth rehabilitation is broader: it coordinates treatment across the mouth and may restore natural teeth, replace missing teeth or combine both approaches.
These cases are intended to help explain different starting points and treatment choices. The number of implants, materials, stages and suitability for fixed teeth require an individual assessment. A finished-smile photograph alone cannot show the full treatment process or tell you whether the same approach is appropriate for you.

REPLACING & RESTORING TEETH
Dental implant & restorative results
A smile does not always require full-mouth treatment. An individual implant can support a replacement tooth, while other restorations may address several missing or damaged teeth. The aim is to plan the replacement or repair in relation to the surrounding teeth, gums and bite.
Restorative cases may involve an implant crown, a bridge or a crown on a natural tooth. Those treatments can look similar in a photograph even though the clinical work is different.

SMILE DESIGN & APPEARANCE
Smile makeover & cosmetic results
Smile-design planning considers tooth shape, proportion, color and how a smile fits the individual. Depending on the condition of the teeth, options may include veneers, zirconia crowns or other cosmetic restorations. The appropriate choice starts with oral health and the amount of healthy tooth structure available.
A veneer covers the front of a tooth; a crown covers more of the tooth. They are different treatments with different preparation and maintenance considerations. A smile makeover can also be part of a wider restorative plan. Discuss the shade and appearance you prefer with the team, while allowing room for clinical recommendations and realistic expectations.

RESULTS IN CONTEXT
How to understand before & after photos
Before-and-after photographs can illustrate treatment possibilities, but they cannot diagnose your teeth or reveal every stage of care. Lighting, angle, timing and whether a restoration is temporary or final all affect how a comparison should be understood.
Recommendations depend on your oral health, remaining teeth, bone condition, treatment goals and clinical evaluation. Ask which procedures were performed, what the treatment involved and how the result is maintained. Your own plan should explain alternatives, limitations, recovery and follow-up—not promise an exact copy of someone else's smile.

Before & after gallery FAQs
Will my results look exactly like these photographs?
No. Your teeth, gums, facial features, bone condition and treatment goals are individual to you. Photographs can help you explain preferences, but a clinical evaluation is needed to discuss what is achievable and suitable. Ask about the expected appearance, limitations and maintenance of your proposed treatment rather than relying on another person's outcome.
How do I know which treatment produced a particular result?
Check the case's treatment label and description when the photographs are added. A similar-looking smile may have been restored with implants, crowns, veneers or a combination. The caption should also clarify whether the image shows temporary or final teeth. If a detail is missing, reference the case when contacting the team instead of assuming which procedure was used.
Can severely damaged or missing teeth be restored?
There may be options to restore damaged teeth or replace teeth that are missing or cannot be maintained. The right approach depends on the condition of each tooth and the supporting tissues. Dr. Alan Martinez can discuss whether preserving teeth, replacing them or combining approaches is appropriate after assessment; photographs alone cannot establish candidacy.
What is the difference between All-on-4 and a smile makeover?
All-on-4 describes a full-arch replacement supported by four dental implants in suitable cases. A smile makeover describes planning to improve the appearance of a smile and may involve veneers, crowns or other restorations. A full-mouth plan can overlap with cosmetic goals, but these terms do not mean the same procedure. Your diagnosis and priorities determine the options to discuss.
Can implants and cosmetic dentistry be combined?
They may be included in one coordinated plan when both missing teeth and the appearance of remaining teeth need attention. Planning needs to consider oral health, the bite and how restorations will work together. The team can explain the order of treatment and which teeth need intervention; a combined approach should be based on an assessment, not simply a preferred photograph.
How long can a full-mouth restoration take?
The timeline depends on the procedures, healing and the steps needed to prepare and fit the restorations. Implant treatment can involve several stages over months, while other restorative plans follow a different schedule. Request a written sequence covering appointments, likely trips, temporary teeth and final restorations before arranging travel. An initial estimate may change after examination or as healing progresses.
Will I receive temporary teeth during treatment when appropriate?
Temporary crowns, bridges or dentures may be considered while treatment is in progress. The type and timing depend on your clinical situation; a fixed temporary restoration immediately after implant placement is not appropriate for everyone. Ask what is planned for each stage, what you can eat and how to care for the temporary restoration before committing to a travel schedule.
Can I send photographs or X-rays before traveling to Tijuana?
Contact the patient coordinator to ask which photographs or existing X-rays would be useful and how to send them through the clinic's preferred channel. This information can support an initial discussion and help the team explain next steps. It does not replace an in-person examination or any additional imaging required to confirm a treatment plan.
How can I find out which treatment is appropriate for me?
Start by explaining your concerns, dental history and goals to the team. A clinical evaluation considers your remaining teeth, gums, bite and bone condition before recommendations are made. Ask for an explanation of the options, their limitations and the follow-up they require. The gallery can guide your questions, but it cannot choose your treatment for you.
How much does treatment cost?
Cost depends on the type and extent of care, the restorations and materials selected, and any preparatory procedures. A gallery photograph cannot provide a reliable quote. Visit our Treatment Pricing page for available information, then request an individual estimate. Ask what is included, which stages may have separate costs and how travel and follow-up should be budgeted.
How do I schedule a consultation?
Use the Contact Us page to request an implant or smile evaluation. Tell the coordinator what you hope to improve, whether you have missing or damaged teeth and when you are considering travel. The team can explain the next steps and appointment arrangements. If a gallery case interests you, mention its category and case number so it can be discussed in context.
